Increase visitor attention and retention with Augmented Reality signage
Add more information in less space with Augmented Reality (AR). Display dynamic content such as video, animation and 3D models – keeping your customer engaged and on-site for longer.
Augmented Reality explained
Augmented Reality, or AR, is the use of camera equipped phones and tablets to overlay extra information upon the world around you.
AR apps can be trained to recognise a sign and then overlay all manner of extra information upon that sign. This might include video, animation, 3D models or any combination thereof. AR elements can also respond to interactions by the viewer or trigger other events on the viewer’s device.
-
More info in less space
Only the minimum amount of info need be printed on a sign. All extra info can be displayed to the user in AR.
-
Update signs without a reprint
You can refresh the AR experience without changing the printed sign.
-
Dynamic content
AR content can include video, animation, 3D models and even green-screen elements - with no video screen (or power) required.
-
Go interactive
AR makes your static, printed signs fully interactive - keeping your customers engaged.

Augmented Reality signage is perfect for
-
Museums & Zoos
AR is perfect for displaying extra information to visitors looking for a deeper understanding of exhibits, whilst keeping printed signage concise for more casual browsers. It can also be used to show animation and video related to the exhibit without the need for a video screen installation.
-
Tourist Attractions
AR signage can be used to enhance an attraction with a related AR game or 3D characters that ‘come to life’. An AR installation could become an attraction in itself, such as with an AR ‘treasure hunt’.
-
Civic Sites
Extra information about civic services can be delivered via an AR sign, with links that trigger the viewers browser to navigate to the relavent area of a website.
