Recycled Foamex Signs

Description

Recycled foamex is an eco-friendly plastic sign material, made from recycled PVC plastic. The plastic is reclaimed from production waste and post-consumer products of the sign industry. So it’s the sign industry doing its bit to reduce landfill and repurpose its own waste.

The board is made of up to 80% recycled content and is black in colour. A skin of fresh white PVC is bonded to the face, to create a surface we can print to. This means the edge of the board, when viewed side-on, is black.

Recycled foamex is actually much stronger than normal foamex. The bonded PVC skin creates a laminate material (think layers of plywood) that is more dimensionally stable than the homogenous standard foamex. Recycled foamex can withstand much greater torsional stress.

Available in 3mm or 5mm thickness. 3mm is fine if you’re fitting it flush to a wall or back-board. 5mm is rigid enough to span gaps. Please note, 3mm is manufactured in smaller quantities and may be subject to longer lead times.

Your choice of finish

Our recycled foamex signs are printed straight-to-board. They are fully weather-proof for outdoor use. They have a satin finish that is somewhere between matt and gloss.

If you want extra scratch resistance and increased UV protection, or you just want a definitive matt or gloss finish then choose one of our laminated options.

Please note our standard unlaminated product is fully suitable for outdoor use. Lamination is not normally necessary but may be desirable for hard wear areas or if you require a very matt or very gloss finish.

Contour-cutting

Our foamex signs can be contour cut to any shape (including internal cuts for creating slots and windows). Just choose the contour-cut option from the form above and supply artwork with a suitable vector cut-line (check out our artwork guidelines for more information).
